Succussful Ministry is...

Right now I'm doing a Bible Study called Redeeming Failure by Michael M. Smith, and I have learned some profound truths in it. It has come at a very crucial time in my walk with God. Let's take a look at what it says:

"Well, then, let's pick a more spiritual measure of success. How about a fruitful ministry? Many of us think, If only more people would come to Christ... or respond to my teaching... or show sighns of growth... then I would know I was pleasing God.

Yet look at some of God's most commended servants. Under Moses leadership, the people of Israel rebelled at the borders of the promised land and spent 40 years needlessly wandering in the wilderness.

Jeremiah faithfully carried out all of God's orders. Yet he was accused of lying, imprisoned, targeted for death, and thrown in a cistern filled with mud as a result of the messages he brought. His entire ministry might be summed up by this verse: "Neither (King Zedikiah) nor his attendants, nore the people of the land paid any attention to the words the Lord spoken through Jeremiah the prophet." (Jer 37:2)

Stephen, " a man full of God's grace and power" (Acts 6:8), gave an elequent speech to the Sanhedrin - and was promptly stoned to death (Acts 7)

God used some of the Bible saints to change the lives and the very course of history. But just as many were probaly, in today's terms, flops. Yet God seemed to commend them equally. It appears the stellar ministry results are not what God is looking for, either.

YELLOW LIGHTS

Now I know that I'm not suppose to race yellow lights unless I have no choice but come on! It is getting a bit ridiculous. Everylight I have been coming to seems to always give me a yellow. Now I'm a law-abiding citizen who needs to arrive on time to my destinations! Can't we find another way man. I mean I'm just on my way and getting my thing done and than BAM! A yellow light.

Gee, now what do I do? Do I race it and get to the destination on time or do I have enough space and time to slow down and stop until, 'who knows when' I get the green again. Gosh, I wish there was a better way.

I visited paris and the Arc de Triumph thingy. It's the round about with the Big arch in the center. No lights there dude and the traffic keeps going and going and going. Well, recently we've gotten some in Canada and I'm not sure how I'm suppose to enter. The traffic keeps coming and coming and coming and coming. Oh there is a gap, on no that not it but .. there is another one but... OH ... ah Oh I missed it and now here comes!

Well, you know what I'm talking about right! Just bear with me friends and fire an ol' prayer up for yours truly! I need more greens and as much as I hate bringing the Almighty in all this but He's our only hope. No prayer is to small for him to ansrew.

Ta Ta for now!
