MMMMmmmm.... I just love turkey and that crazzy drowzy feeling you get after eating!

Well, this year we are at it again with some new surprizes! Come if you can!

Date: Sunday October 8, 2006

Time: 6:30pm

Place: Delta Church

If you are coming, give me a shout and we can reserver a spot for you! Who knows? You may sit beside this guy, I mean turkey!

(It is a Potluck so call me up because I'd love to let you know what is left on the menu.)

Unlikely Leaders

What a mixed bag of potatoes does the book of Judges have.... Have you seen the people God chooses? Whom he calles to the ecolades of leadership?

"Stranger heroes - they are a reluctant farmer, a prophetess, a left-handed assassin, a bastard bandit, a sex addicted Naririte and others. It is easy at a distance to point out the foibles and failures of the leading characters in this downwardly spiraling story. But lest we get to proud, Paul reminds us, "That is what some of you were" (1 Cor. 6:11). With similar mixtures of ignorance, frail obedience, and tangled motives, we, like them were "washed, sanctified, and justified" by the grace of God. For all of their flaws, we are to learn from their faith. For it was in faith that Gideon, Barak, Jephthah, ans Samson "conquered kingdoms, administered justice, and gained what was promised" (Heb 11:32-33)

From An Introduction to the Old Testament by Raymond B Dillard and Temper Longman III

Patience my Young Padone...

I just finished doing a Sunday School lesson on patience and boy was it ever convicting. I kept having to cry out to God, "Have mercy on Me! Lord, I'm a sinner and need to be restored! Have mercy on me!" Many Christians prefer not to pray for patience because they know it is a tall order. They are scared of being stuck in traffic and having to learn the hard way of developing patience. There is a fear over the means, or the pain of developing such a valuable fruit. There maybe some suffering involved. But remember what Romans has to say about that?

"Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance;perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us."
(Romans 5:3-5)

I was reading a book by John M Drescher called Doing what comes Spiritually, and he says,
"Suffering enables us to understand and help the sufferer. Financial failure teaches us to put our trust higher. Disappointment drives us to see things from a divine point of view. Betrayal on the part of another teaches us better to understand the cross."

Spurgeon...

I just love Spurgeon. Here is one of his quotes from an article around by David Slaenwhite...

"Some pray like saints at the prayer meeting but fight like devils at the business meeting."

How can spirit filled beleivers shout praises to the Lord followed by screams of criticism at His servant? How does a heart profess love to Jesus yet practice hate towards a brother?

Warning!

If you are a Pentecostal/Charismatic than I don't recommend you read the following blog! It is very offensive to the sensitive so please save yourself the anger and all the rest and pray on... Also remember that love is not easily provoked (1 C0r 13:1ff)

So, I was at a church meeting (what else is new) when all of a sudden we broke out into a bunch of hymns. It was absolutely exhilerating! So my friend mentioned that he loved the hymn and that it came from Maranatha. He and his family grew up on Maranatha songs and it was very special to him. So I asked if he listened to vineyard? He said, "No, we don't listen to the charismatic .... Our family are not for into that kind of stuff" I reassured him that vineyard music was for all people.

Than he said, "If I want to roll around on the floor, I'll do it with my wife..."

We all enjoyed a good laugh... This is how most Christians view our charismatic/pentecostal friends...

Give me Meat!

I'm tired of tame preachers. I'm tired for hearing the same old things about God! I want to learn more! I want to learn something new! I already know my God heals. I already know that God forgives. I know about the miracles!

But I also know that there is more to Him. Teach me Lord. I want to know you! I love and adore you!

I'm tired of spiritual milk! I want meat!

Now I should be careful. Otherwise I might have to learn those hard lessons in life. You know what I'm talking about. Dealing with the issues where there is no hard and fast ansrew! Those experiences made just to humble you so you can realize that you are just a finite being. It is those lessons that a Bible College can't teach you or the finest theology can explain.

It can be the painful lessons where you aren't given any reason for the hurt but you feel it anyway. Nothing seems to relief it and it just remains. You question it and ask for it to go but it still remains. It is a thorn in the flesh. It keeps you from being exalted or proud.

So what do you do except live and wait till the trial is over to breath again and press on! You realize all the little things in life that you took for granted. Now you are given a fresh fondness and a deeper appreciation for them. You even have a new sympathy and understanding into other peoples pain. You feel more empathy and compassion towards others. The world says that is weak but they are wrong!

These are the real lessons and the real way to know God! This is real meat!

Kevin

Here is Kevin! I wonder what his prayer is?

" 'God, have mercy on me, a sinner.'" (Luke 18:13)

or maybe

" I will give thanks to the LORD because of his righteousness and will sing praise to the name of the LORD Most High." (Psalm 17:7)

or how about,

"Why, O LORD, do you stand far off? Why do you hide yourself in times of trouble?" (Psalm 10:1)

All biblical prayers. And some from the book that the Israelites used for worship called Pslams. Such freedom we have in Christ. We can just express ourselves and he is not offended! I just love God!

SAGC Booth

Look at these blokes! Smile for the camera please. Just behind them is a booth for South Asian Global Convention London 2007. Here is one of the friends we made. I don't remember his name... Don't you just hate it when that happens.

He was very kind and courteous and serving the Lord in his own way. We sat down with him and talked about life, and the ministry and the vision to reach the world for God. It was a moving conversation. A God moment and wouldn't you know it... what was his name? Oh, it will drive us nutz!

" See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands;..." (Isaiah 49:16a)

Doe

Doe, a deer, a female deer. Isn't wildlife beautiful? I love wildlife and there is alot in this part of the world. When I saw this pic in reminded me of a Bible Verse:

"A loving doe, a graceful deer— may her breasts satisfy you always, may you ever be captivated by her love." (Proverbs 5:19)

Yeah, it is really in your Bible. You think I'm pulling your leg. Check your personal Bible yourself! You'll be quite shocked to see it there!

New Life

Some of my friends have just became parents. They brought some new life in the world. Did you know that all life is a miracle? It sure is! Well, you'll have to see the baby this Sunday at church. Sorry, no pics today. You have to see for yourself!

Good Music

Check out www.pillarmusic.com and skillet.com. There is good music on these websites. It great to hear that there is still room for killer electric guitar in Christian music still.

Joshua 1:8

Books, books and more books. But very few, if any were actually sold. I'm so heart broken...

"Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful."

We had many booths set up. Here is one of them. Book it!

Psalm 144:5: Isaiah 13:4

"Part your heavens, O LORD, and come down; touch the mountains, so that they smoke."

Psalm 144:5

"Listen, a noise on the mountains, like that of a great multitude! Listen, an uproar among the kingdoms, like nations massing together! The LORD Almighty is mustering an army for war."

Isaiah 13:4

Beautiful British Columbia

So the delegates went on a little field trip along the west coast of Beautiful British Columbia. It was very Scenic. This was on the way to Lynn Canyon. I just love home sweet home! I've travelled to many parts of the world and I'm so grateful that God has brought me here! It is so beautiful! Don't you wish you lived here?

KCF and not KFC!

Here is some of the crew from Kerala Fellowship Church (KFC or Kerala Fried Chicken). But they changed their name to Kerala Christian Fellowship or something. They actually understand music and know how to sing in key. I get a real kick out of them. They taught us how to use our instruments and sounds. We learned a lot from them. They really caught the vision of SAGC and took the convention to the next level. I'm grateful to God that they are in our lives. It is great to see Keralites passionately serving God. There is so much hope for the world!

Walk on the Ganges.

Here is Rob. He is not an Indian but he really is. He walks along the Ganges and shares the Gospel to whomever comes along his path. He told us about the adventure of how he bumped into a couple of people and shared about Christ.

I also liked the story about him biking in some desert in India when a limo stopped him. The lady said that her mother recognized him somewhere but poor Rob had no clue. He was actually talking with that model lady from India.... you know Miss Universe.... Ashwiya Rai if I remember? She was in a limo with some other Bollywood actor and poor Rob didn't recognize them. What an adventure!

Worship.

This was the joint service with Richmond Pentecostal Church. They let us use their facilities and went the extra mile for us! You can see Rehan Garstin leading worship. He's got a heart of gold and abosolutely no pride or arragonce to him. Most people would give anything to have talent like him! I guess that is who God is looking for. People who use there talents to advance God's purposes and not to draw attention to themselves. I'm so glad he doesn't boast about himself. He just worships and that is what really counts!

Worship Warriors!

And who can forget these two? They are our worship warriors! They help set up the worship for most of the event. Sure, we don't know how to transpose and some of us cannot even sing in key. The guitars are usually overpowering the other instruments but they still stuck it out. They were still faithful and instead of giving up or getting angry or lashing out, they remained calm and at peace and deomonstrated the fruits of the Spirit. I got hand it to them. They demonstrate true godliness! If only worship leaders were known more for there character above all else!

Speak Up

This was a real miracle at SAGC. The Head Co ordinator who absolutely refuses to be infront of people came and spoke to the delegates. This was not a fluke but a real act of God. He absolutely hates being in front of a crowd. Our God loves to take us out of the comfort zone. He loves to have us move to a new land. We may not be familiar with this land or even know the way but none the less God still leads in his supernatural way!

Indo Fijian Church

Our dear Friends from the Indo Fijian Chruch were a huge asset! They were more than happy to help in set up and take down. I was so happy when they volunteered to help set up all the seminar rooms.

For some people, it is below there dignity to do the humble work but not these folks. They are willing to be last and servant to all. Wait till heaven comes... they will get a grand reward.

Thanks again dear friends!

SAGC 2004

Here are some of our co ordinators for SAGC 2004 in Vancover. These two went the extra mile as always to bring God glory in every part of this ministry! It was a grand success by God's grace. I will never forget the memories.

New Life Mashi Ghar

This is New Life Masih Ghar Church in South Hall. There are alot of Americans there doing the Lords bedding. They even got some interns from the USA and they were dressed in Sari's, (the girls mind you...). They were so kind and hospitable and let us share the vision of reaching South Asians for mission work.

We are so grateful for their hospitality and prayers. We were off to the airport right after. They seemed to have really caught the vision and God bless them. Can't wait to see them at SAGC 2007 London!

J & J & J

These are some of my friends... okay they are my family. They are looking really holy and innocent right now but wait till the have a couple of rounds of pop and cartoons! They just explode like a couple of fire crackers. But you know what, I still love them. They are just to adorable for words!

Don't you just want to reach in and pinch their cheeks? Well what are you waiting for? Go ahead and do it!

P & B and...

Hey look, it is Pritam and Balbir and someother people.... LOL!

Knight Rider

"Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share..."
(1 Timothy 6:18)

Isn't the body of Christ just beautiful? My friend here was in desperate need of a car. His old one was stolen and literally ran on faith. Eventually it wasn't driveable. (Like it ever was...) But you know what? God is so good. Some of the beautiful people in the church saw the need, knew about the need, and did something about it! They donated this car for his driving purposes before he left for the mother land! These friends didn't just sit idly or give the responcibility of help to someonelse because it was within there means to help. They rose up to the challenge and gave the brother a hand. I just love the about Jesus lovers. They are always eager, and willing and helpful and ready! God bless them!

"In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: 'It is more blessed to give than to receive.' " (Acts 20:35)

Smile!

Look at the baby holding the baby! The two babies smiling together. They are just smiling away. And life keeps on going! Time keeps on ticking but what do they care? They are enjoying the moment and smiling away! They don't care about the rat race we call life. Life is different for them.

It is about living in the moment and taking each days as it comes! What could be better than that! Sure, there are pressures and deadlines and bills and appointments and so on. But what the heck? What about these rare moments? What about those times when you can just smile away....

And how about you? Have you had the chance to just smile and enjoy the moment? Wouldn't you like to be as care free as these babies? What is stopping you? Your problems? They will come but why not smile in the meantime!

Holy Shot!

Here is one of my students. She is a real God send. She is always asking the right questions. Isn't this what real learning is about? It shows that she is paying attention. She won't sit idly and let knowledge pass through one ear and out the other. No, she is out to learn! And why not?

"The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline." (Proverbs 1:7)

These are the males at 9Javan. They are really cool! I love their desighner hair cuts. They are very stylish!

AHhhhhh, the memories. There are so many beautiful people in the Body of Christ! I'm glad to have met you. I'm sorry for the ones I couldn't get to know. I wish I had a glimpse of the outrageous adventure you are on with Christ. It was great to see the work you are doing for him! One day we all will kick back and reminiss and give even more glory to the saviour. Until them, peace be with you!

Prayer Time!

It is time to pray. See you soon!

Sher

Hi! I'm Sher. Which way to the washroom? I'm hungry! So long friends and may God bless you!

Here is Zee and his wife. They just got married and are enjoying a new life in Pakistan. Cheers!

Scotland

Here is Rajwin, Blank, Benergie, Tag and Pritam. Just behind him was the restaurant where we ate food. Rajwin is smiling after a hearty meal of Haggis. It was a great meal! I loved it. I'm glad the bill was taken up by some else. I wouldn't be able to afford it. This is Inverness Scotland not far from Loch Ness. Very beautiful.

Kush Kabri Fellowship

This is KKF! They are all praying. Well, almost all of them. They baby is pointing to Rajwin who is not prayer. LOL! I'm just teasing. I don't recognize any of them except Pritam and Rajwin. I wonder if this is Changi Airport! Looks like they have had a yummy meal!

This is Superman and his crew. They kept us up at there house for a long time. They fed us and fed us and fed us and fed us! We can never forget them. They were SOOOoooo hospitable and loving. They invited us into their family and hearts. I just missed them. They are hearing the testimony of a man who came to know Jesus. It is an incredible story. They are recieving the greatest news on earth. I love them!

This is the team for SAGC 2007 London. Don't they look adorable? We even have child labor. I'm only kidding! They will be the lights in the darkness. They will be the pillars. They will be led to the rock higher than they! They are going to become kingdom warriors! They are going for it!

9 Javan

This was the 9 Javan Group in England. They are a bunch of crazzy kids and 4 of them came to Christ on the weekend. Thank you David Frady for stepping up to the task and taking on such a aweome and taunting task. God bless you and thanks for having at your place in South... We love you and your parents. Aren't the English beautiful? Let's give them a round of applause!

Welcome to the Hoood

These are our friends from the South Asian United Reformed Church or something or other. They are from Pakistan and they gave us a lift from London to the Jewels in his Crown Conference in Derbyshire. God bless them. They spoiled us with candy, Chips (Crisps there), and friendship. They look tough on the outside but are as sweet as honey on the inside. I miss them! I hope they come for SAGC next year. They even offered to give us a lift back but Sam had room for us! It was an awesome weekend.

Hungry, I come to you...

Dang, I'm hungry. Don't they have anything to eat at this Manor Park Christian Center? I'm starved!

Well, I know there will be plenty to eat at Manor Park Christian Center on Aug 1-5 2007 in London. These are the dates of South Asian Global Convention. Have you heard of it? It is about youth mission mobilization!

Oh, and it will not be held at All Nations Church. Please don't be mistaken and arrive at the wrong church. It will be very embarassing. Luckily the churches aren't to far apart! Where are the Chips, I mean crisps and where are the french fries, I mean Chips. Rajwin, help me out dude!

Sim J!

Hey, who is that? You look familiar? Is that Sim J worship Leader extrodinaire! Could I have your autograph?

Babies!

Don't worry Aunty, this is not Ashish's Baby. It is Pritam's. Her name is Sujaan and she is an angel! I heard she hasn't changed abit but I don't really know because I don't get anymore pictures of her. She is so adorable.

Ashish is really good with babies! In fact he is a baby. His mom's baby. Well actually second born. Or is he the oldest? It is such a mystery. Life is such a mystery. Ashish is such a mystery?

And it continues...

Congatulations Kevin! You are finally an Indo-Canadian Citizen! What would you like to say?
Kevin: "Thank you Canada. Sure I couldn't get a meaningful job and I left for Australia nearly a month later but what does that matter! You took me and my education in and now I'm back home making the big $$$ and with my folks again. Thank you Canada!"
No Kevin, Thank you!

You recognize these youngsters? Do they look familiar? Have you seen them? They are out there and they are watching! They may even be watching you as I type right now! Look behind you? What was that? Hellooo! I heard that? What? We are not alone? There is somebody out there!

No, these aren't pic of Alx. It is Sujaan. Don't you love her? Isn't she adorable? Hello Sujaan!

This is the world famous Lock Ness where the Loch Ness monster was found. I'm probaly not spelling it right. Can you see the monster? In the distance. See it? See it? See?

Lovey, Dovey Guys!

Hey! Look at these lovey, dovey guys. Oh, what is that there holding? Is that the rough draft of the South Asian Global Convention 2007 brochure? The convention held in London on Aug 1-5 and Manor Park Christian Center? Is that the youth missons mobilization convention I've heard so much about? Wow, I'd like to be apart of it. Maybe I'll check out www.southasianconnection.com to learn more.

Hey, you reading this! Why don't you just join me!

Do I smell Haggis?

Mind The Gap!

Please mind the gap between the train and the platform. In other words. Watch your step. WE are just passing by Boston Manor on the way to some looney part of London! It was a little dark as you can tell. What else is new! Light is our friend.

Gone Fishing!

Hey you! What is your name? Ready to go fish?

Get Along Gang!

This is the get along gang with the farewell crew. Off to Singapore and than to London and beyond. This was the closing of an era. The shutting down of an old chapter in life.

Behold, new things are to come! Our God is a God of new beginnings. He is eager and waiting to have us take on new challenges!

But now it is time to depart. To go on our merry way for another crazy and whacky adventure. It sounds crazzy and it kinda is but lets do it!

Pastor Pritam

In case you haven't noticed, I just found out how to put photos on my BLOG! YEEEee HAAa! Now you get to enter a new World.

Do you know who that is?

I caught you!

Hey you two! What are you crazzies doing now? I caught you! Smile for the camera!

Meet Georgy everyone!

Hi! I'm Georgy! Like my hat? I'm the ivory tickler. I TICKLE IVORY and EBONDY! Want to hear me play?

(Okay, so Georgy didn't really say that. I gave him some help. I'm just mis-behaving as usual. LOL! Sorry Georgy!)

Manor Park Christian Center! This is the gym of the church of where we are having South Asian Global Convention 2007 in London. It is a convention about equiping young people for misson work!

But who are we to do the bidding of the Master. Just a bunch of crazzies who don't have anything else to do in our spare time? Not at all dear friends. We have a vision of changing the face fo the planet and it includes this largely unreached people group called South Asians. It is to bring honor and glory to the one who created us! It is to magnify His name.

And we know that we can't do it. We aren't gods or God. We are just a bunch of humble servants who want to make the most out of life. We want to take on something bigger than ourself. We shoot for goals that are just out of our reach? We take on dreams that are so BIG that it takes God to make them happen. And isn't that where God is revealed. When he makes the impossible possible? Only God does this! It this is how life is meant to be lived. We are to live for something greater than ourselves. We are to live our life to help others and make the world a better place.

So are you in or out? It is your choice. What will you choose? Think about the consequences of your decision before you make it. Is it worth it? Proof it!
