PMC V-Ball

This ain't the ballet.
It ain't no disco either.
This isn't the circus
This isn't a zoo either.
This is how we kick it at PMC!

We had a little V-Ball game with the elders against the youth. We underestimated the elders! They were good! We also cleaned out the PMC House for some upcoming building project fundraising events!
There were some fresh faces who feel apart of the church by this ministry. We are seeing a dream come true. Slowly but surely God is building his church. It will include every tribe and tongue and nation. Here are some of them!
The kids are growing up! We got them working and moving the stuff out! As always we wished more came out. The worship team was fasting this day. They are probably feeling it now!
There were some old faces as well. We don't see them to often but they come out of the woods to good stuff like this!

We got this crazzy V-Ball ministry at PMC. It is intense! Most people will not step on a court but will most definitely play sports. We've notice this! Here are some of the pics!

V-ball is interesting. There are all sorts of players! Some cheat and bend the rules as they play. Others are rule Nazi's and won't compromise even for the sake of fairness. Their are those who make uneven teams to constantly win and than their are others who prefer even teams playing neck to neck. There those who complain and whine no matter what and than there are those who are quiet and calm.

"Do everything without complaining or arguing," (Phillippians 2:14)

There are team players setting the Volleys and than there are those who wished everyone would get out of there way.

"Honor one another above yourselves." (Romans 12:9)

There are those who come late and leave early and than there are those who come early, set up and leave late putting everything away.

"Jesus called them together and said, "You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their high officials exercise authority over them. Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be your slave—"

(Matthew 20:25-27)

There are those who watch the set up and take down and see that help is needed but won't help.

"Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others." (Phillipians 2:4)

There are those who see it and do help. There are the encourager's who spur others on and than there are the discourages who discourage even the encourager's.

"And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds."

(Hebrews 10:24)

There are funny sarcastic players and than there are cutting sarcastic players.

"Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen."

(Ephesians 4:29)

You can see it all at V-Ball. Volleyball is interesting.

Small Acts of Kindness

" But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,"
(Gal 5:22)

It was the small acts of kindness. I love signs and wonders and who doesn't? I love seeing manifestations of the gifts of the Spirit and who wouldn't. We see Christ it them... But I really see Christ in the small acts of kindness people show.

Who can forget the times you were brought to the absolute end of yourself! You couldn't move on and get beyond that point that seemed like no return. It felt lonely, confusing and downright frightening! Where to go and what to do?

It was at the point when you thought you could not have gone any further and had no strength to move on... It was the breaking point. It was all or nothing! Everything counted on that particular moment. You'd win or lose, turn back or keep going, give up or get up! What would be your choice?

Than like a flash of lightning, the answers came. It could've have come in the form of a person who offered encouragement or the friend who offered a listening ear. It could have been the person who poured a good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, poured into your lap when you were empty. The blessings came in multitudes that seemed to have no end.

You didn't realize it but you were dieing to self. Jesus came in and rescued you and took all the glory for himself. Pride and self died. Jesus was all and in all! It came in the small acts of kindness that really meant the world!

Who can forget those days and these people and the love of God!

"1 I waited patiently for the LORD;
he turned to me and heard my cry.

2 He lifted me out of the slimy pit,
out of the mud and mire;
he set my feet on a rock
and gave me a firm place to stand.

3 He put a new song in my mouth,
a hymn of praise to our God.
Many will see and fear
and put their trust in the LORD.

4 Blessed is the man
who makes the LORD his trust,
who does not look to the proud,
to those who turn aside to false gods. "

(Psalm 40:1-4)

Friendships

"A man of many companions may come to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother." (Prov 18:24)

Thank you Lord for those friends whom we can be absolutely real with. They accept us for who we are and there are no superficial formalities, exalted expectations, unreasonable demands.
No drama or words of condemnation and judgment. They don't give words of cynicism and are pure authentic. No one is beings used, abused and wrongfully accused.

Thank you for those who have gone further in the race than us. They know the pain of discipline and sweat and hurt and can come to us and say, "It is all worth it!" Thank you for them! May God bless them!

The Secret Place

"And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full. But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you."

(Matthew 6:5-6)

When they gossip about you...
Go to the secret place

When they use you...
Go to the secret place

When they provoke you...
Go to the secret place.

When they cheat you...
Go to the secret place.

When they demean you...
Go to the secret place.

When they torture you...
Go to the secret place.

When they beat you...
Go to the secret place.

When they hurt you...
Go to the secret place

Don't retaliate. Take it all to the throne room of God in the secret place. It will make all the difference in the world.

"When they hurled their insults at him, he did not retaliate; when he suffered, he made no threats. Instead, he entrusted himself to him who judges justly."
(1Peter 2:23)

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
(Philippians 4:6-7)

Misty Edwards

"I have a great desire to see the knowledge of God flood this generation. I mean the real knowledge of God, not the distant Sunday School version but the true encounter with the Uncreated. I have devoted my life to searching Him out through His Word, prayer and fasting, and to ask Him to reveal Himself in my day and time. There's no other point for my existence but to touch the Transcendent. I believe that this is the generation who will usher in the Son of Man as we intercede from our highest identity as a Bride crying out, " Come!" unsatisfied with anything less than Him. As Eternity breaks in we will awaken the Dawn with a song and the Morning Star will rise to have His inheritance on this planet! This is all I care about."

Can You Recognize Chirst?

Do you even know who Jesus Christ is? Can you recognize Him? He came as a servant! Can you see him? He put others ahead of himself? Do you know him? He confronted sin but never condemned sinners. Do you remember him? He loved and loved and loved!

Plank Eye

"Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.

"Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, 'Let me take the speck out of your eye,' when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye."

(Matthew 7)

"If you are looking for perfection start by looking in the mirror. If you see it there than start to expect to see it elsewhere!"
- Chuck Swindoll
