Leadership Impact, "What Keeps Leaeders up at Night"

Leadership Impact, "What Keeps Leaders up at Night"

What to do Before you Release Someone?

1. Discuss - "I have received info..." or "I have noticed..."

2. Document - "Monitor and assess performance after constructive criticism is given..."

3. Dock - Penalty Pts for not following through after corrective measures were taken and clearly communicated and a fair opportunity for change was allowed.

4. Dismiss - Give reasons for Dismissals.

*Remember, it is better to have no help than bad help.

(Loosely based on Samuel R. Chand Consulting)

Most people get fired because of a bad attitude. These are people who 'won't' do the work unlike the people who 'can't' do it. The people in the 'can't' category are usually teachable and just need training sharpen their ability.
