THINK

"But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment."
(Matthew 12:36)

I just heard a wonderful sermon on the radio. It talked about some of the words that come out of our mouth. The preacher used the following acronym to help screen what we should be saying:

THINK

Is what we say:

T - true
H - helpful
I - inspiring
N - necessary
K - kind?

If not, than we should shut up! We have been given two ears and one mouth and therefore we should do twice as much listening to talking.

"Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak..."
James 1:19
