The Bad Heart

"The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?"
Jeremiah 17:9

" For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander."
Matt 15:19

Isn't Jeremiah right? He was the weeping prophet! And who can blame? Have you seen how much injustice there is in the world? Even in the Body of Christ! Our hearts can even be filled with evil thoughts. I get disgusted when I see how much jealousy runs our life! We see someone God is using in a mighty way, and instead of rejoicing and being glad, we get jealous. We end up entertaining thoughts of hurting, hating and even stumbling the person. So many think that ministry is wearing a fancy suit and winning the praises of people. But it isn't like that! Look at Paul's life!

"Are they servants of Christ? (I am out of my mind to talk like this.) I am more. I have worked much harder, been in prison more frequently, been flogged more severely, and been exposed to death again and again. 24Five times I received from the Jews the forty lashes minus one. 25Three times I was beaten with rods, once I was stoned, three times I was shipwrecked, I spent a night and a day in the open sea, 26I have been constantly on the move. I have been in danger from rivers, in danger from bandits, in danger from my own countrymen, in danger from Gentiles; in danger in the city, in danger in the country, in danger at sea; and in danger from false brothers. 27I have labored and toiled and have often gone without sleep; I have known hunger and thirst and have often gone without food; I have been cold and naked. 28Besides everything else, I face daily the pressure of my concern for all the churches. 29Who is weak, and I do not feel weak? Who is led into sin, and I do not inwardly burn?"

1 Corinthians 11:23-29

But we Christians should be much different,

" If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it."

1 Corinthians 12:26

Do we truly rejoice when others are honored or are rejoicing? Or do we weep? Are we happy for anothers success or are we jealous?

Do you have any idea of what kind of ramifications jealousy brings?

" For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice."
James 3:16

If affects the whole body! Or should I say infects! We all have to suffer for it! It's time for us to grow up. We need to bring out the best our of each other! I just loved the desire of Jesus. He is the full embodiment of humility. Just look at his heart's desire:

" I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father." (John 14:12)

Jesus wants us to do greater things than he has done! What humility. He was not in if for himself. He died for us. So we can have a better life! But do we really want it? Do we really want to see our neighbor do greater things than Jesus? How about greater things than us?
I hope so! It is for the love of Jesus!

Nothing is Working

The Computer is not working!
The Fax machine is not working!
No one is returning my phone calls!
I'm not giving up!

"We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; 9persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body." (2 Cor 4:8-10)

Silly Sentiments...

I get a real kick out of the Bible! I was just reading about Abraham and Isaac and how they are blessed to be a blessing. They are called to bless the entire world. It would come through their descendants. But what I get a kick out of is their problems.

Man I wish I had some of their problems for a change. I was just reading about how they both encounter Abimelech. These boys are blessed with BEAUTIFUL wives. They are so BEAUTIFUL that they tell Abimelech (King of Gerar) that they wives are really their sisters. And why? Because they are so BEAUTIFUL! Look at Isaac's reason, " When the men of that place asked him about his wife, he said, "She is my sister," because he was afraid to say, "She is my wife." He thought, "The men of this place might kill me on account of Rebekah, because she is beautiful." (Genesis 26:7).

Wow! Wouldn't you like to walk in their shoes for awhile? Ha Hah! I wonder what it is like to have the problem of having a wife too beautiful to admit is yours. It must be a real hassle! Poor Abraham and Isaac. You have my empathy...

Ask, Seek, Knock!

Ask
Seek
Knock

Happy, Snappy, Nappy time! I had a friend tell that one of the most spiritual things you can do is sleep... But I have some exhilerating news for you! No time to sleep now Stevo, we've got some good news! All your prayers have not only been ansrewed but new doorways have just opened up. I just recieved word that I'll be taking on two new ministries. It is completely out of my comfort zone! Not only that, but these are ministries about stuff I've always wanted to do.

One thing though. I need HELP! I don't know where to begin and I know I might make a mistake as I strive to be perfect as the Father is perfect. It is something that has been in my heart of a loooooong time! It will require time, energy, patience and a quick mind to understand! I was having a burning desire to do these ministries for awhile but never had the means.

Now the doorway is wide open to do it but I still don't have the means. I need equiping, empowering and the rest. It will be something that is beyond myself. Your probaly thinking, 'We've heard you say that before Wilson, now what...' but I want to let you know that I really mean it. I guess by now you realize that this is another prayer request. You may know what to pray for from the above (or atleast those mysterious intercessors do!) Just know that as you consider your neighbor you will be fulfilling the most important commandment!

Not only that but it was those grand prayers you gave yesturday and in the past that made these new oppourtunities possible. The drama thingy and what your looking at now were a BIG part of it! Thanks again. Dreams are being fulfilled as you pray! The bible says, "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened." (Matthew 7:7-8) Keep up the hard work and remember to fight sleep as we move into a new world of ministry." Let me tell you something. This promise is so true and I hope it will fill your heart with as much optimism and hope as it has for me. Thank you my friends. Greater things are ahead of us!

These new ministries follow a 3 'p' rule:

1. Profile
2. Project
3. Preach.

I hope I peaked your curiosity and I'll tell you more in the future but right now, no time to sleep we must keep praying. Victory is at hand!

To All the Barnabas'...

I just want to give a shout out to all the Barnabas' out there. I can't tell you how grateful we are to have you all our my lives. There have been so many periods where we have just bottomed out and felt like we couldn't get back up again. It isn't any wonder that we can get discouraged in this Christian life. Just look at the story of Joshua! God told him three times to be strong and courageous:

"Be strong and courageous, because you will lead these people to inherit the land I swore to their forefathers to give them. Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go. Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go." (Joshua 1:6-9)

Thanks to all of you encouragers. The sweet words that come out of your mouth can breath new life to this crucified body. I hope God gives you a HUGE reward in heaven. That is my prayer. Thank for reminding us that it isn't over yet. That we can still make a difference and that things can radically change! Thank for reminding us that all things work together for good!

May God richly bless you all!

Prayer for SAGC 2007

Hey Mr. Bilson Blogaholics! Hope you are enjoying the NEW YEAR! As you know, I do enjoy posting prayer requests on this blogger and I recently got a new one. Most of you know that God is doing a new and great work among the Christian South Asian Community. God has poineered a new work called South Asian Connection which holds a convention called South Asian Global Convention or SAGC for short. I was wondering if you will be willing to pray for this great work. It will be held in London this year from Aug 1-5. But you might be asking what it is about? We'll there is a four 'c' fold vision (from www.southasianconnection.com):

1. CHALLENGE South Asian Youth and Young Adults to embrace the Great Commission

2. CONNECT South Asian churches, ministries and individuals locally and globally into a worldwide transdenominational network

3. COORDINATE the South Asian Global Convention SAGC 2004, SAGC 2007 and beyond.

4.
COMMUNICATE ideas, strategies and resources.

I know that you all have been faithful in the past to pray but now I'd like to have the pleasure of setting the example. If you have time, I was wondering if you can even type your pray on the comment board below. It would be a great encouragement to us all.

Why don't I begin,

Dear Jesus,

Thank you for being a radical, creative, beautiful and faithful God. Thank you for being with us in the past year! Thank you for giving us fulfillment, peace and encouragement and love. We are can do nothing apart from you? I was wondering if you can help us out. Can you give us new inspiration, ideas, and provision to hold SAGC London in a completely different and supernatural way!
We don't know where to begin at times and we desperately need you! Can you provide us with more laborors, strong health, better communication, and perserverance to run this new race. You see, we are mad about you and we want to make something beautiful for you! But at the same time we need you do help us! We are in aw e of you! Can you give our team new strength and wisdom and life? Can you continue to guide, protect and equip us. We have tasted and we have seen you! Now we want to give you honor, glory, and even some pleasure! Once again, thanks for everything. Help Pr. P & B and the London team! Thanks for being there for us!

In your name,

AMEN!

See you soon and remember to KEEP ON PRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYING!

Happy New Year!

This wraps another year of blogging with Mr. Bilson! Thanks again for taking the time to walk in my shoes and see Jesus through my eyes. Thanks for just praying for me in the best of times and in the worst. Thanks for also putting up with typo's and bad spelling and awful grammar! It has been an exhilerating year. There were ups and there were downs and there were in's and out's and all arounds!

It is great to know that there are other people who really care about others more than themselves. Who am I referring to? You Silly! You came out and spend some of your minutes seeing how things are in my neck of the woods. And for that I thank you for being a friend and an ally in the fight against the Darkness! Thank you for caring.

I'm sure 2007 will be even greater than 2006. We have SAGC and new ideas to touch the face of the earth for the King's glory. It will be thrilling! Who know's... we might even see some weddings happen but I'm not promising anything!

Thanks again and see you next year!
