Science and Faith

Just read the Time Mag on Happiness, which speak of some spiritual subjects. In 2003 a study involving 3,300 adolescents found that teens who attend services, read the Bible and pray feel less sad or depressed, less alone, less misunderstood and guilty and more cared for then non religious peers.

Another study showed that Protestants reported higher levels of well being than Catholics and even higher levels than Jews. One possible reason is that Protestants voiced a greater belief in an afterlife than did Jews. The study suggested that Protestants derive more joy in their internal faith in God, whereas Jews and Catholics draw more comfort from their religious communities.

Quite Interesting… What are your comments?
