Christian Soldiers

"You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier."
(2 Timothy 2:3-4)

There is a serious shortage of Christian soldiers in the church. I find that there are to many who want to be treated like princes and princesses who don't have to lift a finger but have everything done for them. They are a little different than most ancient royalty in that they are too spoon fed to get into battle. They expect the whole world to bow down to them and serve them rather than serve and defend the kingdom.

But our King is not like most other kings. He is was willing to serve. Did you see him wash the feet of His disciples? That was only the beginning! He would lay down his life for His friends... and enemies to... Let's pick up our arms and imitate Christ today!

He is also ready to go into battle!

"When he saw Jesus from afar, he ran and worshiped Him. And he cried out with a loud voice and said, “What have I to do with You, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I implore You by God that You do not torment me.”
(Mark 5:6-7)

"And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force."
(Matthew 11:12)

"... just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.”
(Matthew 20:28)
